Benjamin Brigeman

Founder and CEO

Ben has over 30 years of financial management and business experience as an executive of some of the country’s largest financial institutions. Starting in 1984 at KeyBank he was SVP of Key’s 401(k) and retirement business. In 1996, he moved to Charles Schwab, where eventually he became Head of Investor Services, Schwab’s retail organization, leading over 10,000 employees.

After retiring from Schwab, Ben has been working with private equity firms including Genstar Capital where he sits on the Advisory Board. In addition, he currently holds the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors – Cetera Financial Group, along with being a Board Member at Ascensus, Inc., (the largest independent provider of retirement and college savings services in the US), Apex International, (a global leader in fund administration and fund accounting services), Institutional Shareholder Services, (the country’s largest provider of proxy services), and is also the Founder and CEO of Brigeman Enterprises, (a diversified holding company of business consulting and financial services).

Michael Mawby

Michael is a Co-Founder of The Mawby Brigeman Group and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional with more than 30 years of experience as a wealth management advisor. What Michael enjoys most is organizing and problem-solving for clients, as well as listening closely to help simplify their financial lives. Mike utilizes his knowledge and experience to help his clients achieve their financial and personal goals. Mike believes in dedicating time to truly understanding the complexities, goals, and relevant priorities of his clients. This due diligence is what helps Mike best assess their financial management needs and develop specific recommendations.

When he’s not working with his clients, Michael enjoys spending time exercising, running, and being an avid sports fan of his favorite teams. He and his wife, Anne, reside in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and enjoy spending time with family. They have been married for 32 years, have four children, and now enjoy being grandparents to two young grandsons.

John Conry

John Conry has over 25 years of financial services experience, working with both institutional and individual clients. He spent 20 years with two boutique equity research firms, FTN Midwest and Longbow Research, servicing large institutional clients such as Fidelity, Blackrock, and Eaton Vance. In this role, he consulted with portfolio managers and utilized his firms’ research to assist in security selection for client portfolios. Prior to specializing in the institutional equity research field, John worked at Fidelity Investments where he was ranked as one of their top financial advisors.

John received his MBA in Finance from Case Western Reserve University and an accounting degree from Boston College. A Cleveland native, John lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio with his wife Donna and three sons. His hobbies include golf and traveling.

Brittan Leiser

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, Brittan is passionate about helping clients understand their financial options in order to achieve their true potential. Brittan enjoys cultivating strong relationships, solving complex problems, and feels most rewarded when she is able to help others prepare for and live their most meaningful lives. Additionally, Brittan is particularly passionate about helping empower every woman to own her financial future.

Originally born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Brittan spent the first several years of her career in Minneapolis, Minnesota, working for Target Corporation and General Mills. She now resides in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with her husband, their two-year old son, and their two dogs. When Brittan isn't in the office, she enjoys running, exploring new parts of the world with her husband, baking chocolate chip cookies, cheering on all Cleveland sports teams, and teaching her son the words to the Notre Dame fight song.

Matt’s investment management philosophy focuses on the importance of creating a comprehensive plan as a guideline to develop recommendations that best-suit his clients’ needs. Matt takes the time to understand the intricacies of each client’s unique situation to develop in-depth, customized recommendations, and takes pride in being able to articulate complex concepts in ways that are easier to understand. Matt understands the importance of balancing risk and reward and maintaining liquidity, as well as cutting unnecessary costs while still being able to achieve results.

Matt grew up in Chagrin Falls, attended Purdue University, and now lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife, Alexis. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, supporting all of the city’s teams, as well as being outdoors.
